Psalm 19<\/strong>
For the music leader. A psalm of David.<\/strong>
19 Heaven is declaring God\u2019s glory;
the sky is proclaiming his handiwork.
2 One day gushes the news to the next,
and one night informs another what needs to be known.
3 Of course, there\u2019s no speech, no words\u2014
their voices can\u2019t be heard\u2014
4 but their sound extends throughout the world;
their words reach the ends of the earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God has made a tent in heaven for the sun.
5 The sun is like a groom
coming out of his honeymoon suite;
like a warrior, it thrills at running its course.
6 It rises in one end of the sky;
its circuit is complete at the other.
Nothing escapes its heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7 The Lord\u2019s Instruction is perfect,
reviving one\u2019s very being.
The Lord\u2019s laws are faithful,
making naive people wise.
8 The Lord\u2019s regulations are right,
gladdening the heart.
The Lord\u2019s commands are pure,
giving light to the eyes.
9 Honoring the Lord is correct,
lasting forever.
The Lord\u2019s judgments are true.
All of these are righteous!
10 They are more desirable than gold\u2014
than tons of pure gold!
They are sweeter than honey\u2014
even dripping off the honeycomb!
11 No doubt about it:
your servant is enlightened by them;
there is great reward in keeping them.
12 But can anyone know
what they\u2019ve accidentally done wrong?
Clear me of any unknown sin
13 and save your servant from willful sins.
Don\u2019t let them rule me.
Then I\u2019ll be completely blameless;
I\u2019ll be innocent of great wrongdoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

14 Let the words of my mouth
and the meditations of my heart
be pleasing to you,
Lord, my rock and my redeemer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luke 12:22-34<\/strong>
Warning about worry<\/strong>
22 Then Jesus said to his disciples, \u201cTherefore, I say to you, don\u2019t worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear. 23 There is more to life than food and more to the body than clothing. 24 Consider the ravens: they neither plant nor harvest, they have no silo or barn, yet God feeds them. You are worth so much more than birds! 25 Who among you by worrying can add a single moment to your life? 26 If you can\u2019t do such a small thing, why worry about the rest? 27 Notice how the lilies grow. They don\u2019t wear themselves out with work, and they don\u2019t spin cloth. But I say to you that even Solomon in all his splendor wasn\u2019t dressed like one of these. 28 If God dresses grass in the field so beautifully, even though it\u2019s alive today and tomorrow it\u2019s thrown into the furnace, how much more will God do for you, you people of weak faith! 29 Don\u2019t chase after what you will eat and what you will drink. Stop worrying. 30 All the nations of the world long for these things. Your Father knows that you need them. 31 Instead, desire his kingdom and these things will be given to you as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

32 \u201cDon\u2019t be afraid, little flock, because your Father delights in giving you the kingdom. 33 Sell your possessions and give to those in need. Make for yourselves wallets that don\u2019t wear out\u2014a treasure in heaven that never runs out. No thief comes near there, and no moth destroys. 34 Where your treasure is, there your heart will be too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
