Fall\/Winter worship begins at 11 a.m. Summer worship (July – Labour Day) begins at 10 a.m. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Church on the Ground meets at 1774 Queen St. E.; Church in the Cloud meets on Zoom. If you wish to attend in person and would feel more comfortable wearing a mask for your own or others’ health, please do. Announcements and the TUMC Connects newsletter are sent out weekly by email. Our Meeting Place<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We are located at the corner of Queen Street East at Lark Street, in Toronto’s Beaches neighbourhood, one block east of Kingston Road. Our meeting place sits on the ancestral lands of many Indigenous groups including the Haudenosaunee, Wyandot, and Michi Saugig (Anishinabeg). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accessibility<\/strong>: TUMC is fully accessible to wheelchairs, by way of the door at the north end of the building, off Lark Street. There is an accessible washroom on the main floor (in the small hallway opposite the cloakroom) and an elevator provides access to basement washrooms and classrooms as well as the second and third floor.\u00a0Our seating is in movable chairs, allowing people with mobility devices to sit wherever they like. Wheel-Trans can do drop-offs right at the entrance. Hearing assistance devices (if you wish, you may bring your own earbuds or headphones to plug in) are available for those who need a little extra help to enjoy the service. Please ask an usher for anything you need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Partners<\/strong>: The TUMC community built its current worship space as a joint project with two partner organizations, the Mennonite New Life Centre of Toronto (MNLCT), which offers services for newcomers in our city, and the Iglesia Menonita Nueva Vida (New Life Mennonite Church), which worships in Spanish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On a Sunday morning if you visit 1774 Queen you may see our siblings heading up to the 3rd floor for their service. Our congregations often mark Good Friday together and sometimes host joint events and activities. Their worship services are also available online. The Mennonite New Life Centre<\/em> has administration offices at 1774 Queen, while their work takes place elsewhere in the city. Directions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Transit<\/strong>: 501 Queen streetcar and  22 Coxwell bus will both drop you close by (at Queen and Kingston).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cycling<\/strong>: We’re a short trip north from the beautiful Waterfront Trail and the beach, via Northern Dancer (along the east side of Woodbine Park) or Winners Circle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parking<\/strong><\/span>: <\/em><\/span>Free on Queen on Sundays until 1 p.m., with more free parking on nearby residential streets. TUMC also has a small parking lot, accessed by a driveway off Queen four houses west of the church, separated from a streetcar yard by a chain link fence. Bike parking is available on Queen St.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
