TUMC is a Christian community in the Mennonite-Anabaptist "peace church" tradition. We aspire to be a family of faith  that welcomes people with diverse backgrounds and stories, worshipping together and supporting one another, while following Christ's example in working for peace and justice in our urban context.

Welcome!

In the Gospel of John, Jesus often asks his followers: "What are you looking for?"

How might you respond? Are you looking for answers to questions of social justice, are you looking for a place where you can honestly explore your deepest questions, are you looking for a community where you can worship in song and prayer?

Most of us are spiritually hungry for something, but it's not always easy to say just what. On one occasion, Jesus' followers, not sure how to respond, simply asked: "Teacher, where are you staying?" And he said, "Come and see." John says the disciples "came and saw, and they remained with him the rest of that day."

As you browse this website about our faith community, I invite you to come and see and, if you wish, to remain a while.

SURVEY by the dots!  As a forward-looking exercise in February 2012, the TUMC community placed dots on charts according to how desirable/undesirable and how likely/unlikely certain scenarios are. Here's what we think about where TUMC will be in 50 years.

PAINLESS FUNDRAISING: TUMC's senior youth will head south this spring break for a trip combining service and learning.  You can help send them there just by buying scrip cards for a wide range of retailers (groceries, gas, clothes, restaurants, you name it). You don't need to spend a cent you wouldn't anyway, but the teens get a kickback for every dollar you spend!  Click here for all the details.

GREAT READING: TUMC's library is chock full of wonderful books for all ages, with more coming in regularly. Now, thanks to the efforts of our librarian, Meghan Reimer, you can search the catalogue online, at home or from your laptop! Search by author, title, genre, or date. Click here to try it.
